In this review of Cormac McCarthy’s “All the Pretty Horses,” we see a gorgeously written novel about one of the strongest and most charismatic protagonists in John Grady Cole. Cole’s romantic ventures and reserved nature make us fall in love with him immediately, but the path before him is a long and dark one that makes you want to applaud when you finish reading the first of the Borders trilogy.
I enjoy listening .

I enjoy these stories very much.I think being romantic or in love can be very beautiful but can also be very dark and painful in some of lives!

Well done Alan, I had watched the movie with your dad but not sure if I completely understood. This helps me have greater insight. When I watch it again, I’ll be seeing it in a new light I think.

To each his own, but I would rather read a book that sparks one’s interest with a mixture of adventure, romance and realistic characters. I haven’t read the book that you reviewed but it sounds like it would be a great read. Enjoyed your review.
